Job Description:
As a Social Media Specialist at PYHIT, you will play a crucial role in amplifying our mission and reaching out to our target audience through various social media platforms.
You will be responsible for crafting compelling content, managing our social media accounts, and engaging with our online community to foster meaningful connections and promote awareness of our programs and services.
Job Duties and Tasks for:
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with PYHIT's mission and values.
Create engaging and informative content for social media posts, including graphics, videos, and written copy.
Manage and maintain PYHIT's presence on various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Monitor social media channels for relevant conversations, comments, and mentions, and respond promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather content and insights for social media posts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Analyze social media metrics and performance data to track progress, identify trends, and optimize strategies for greater impact.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media marketing and incorporate them into PYHIT's social media strategy.
Cultivate relationships with influencers, partners, and stakeholders to expand our reach and visibility in the community.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as a social media manager or similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Passion for social justice, community development, and serving marginalized populations.
